about
Hi! I’m Jen Ata.
I am the owner and founder of Tidal Heart Healing in Brooklyn, NY. I offer a grounded, tender and transformative approach to energetic healing. I believe the more we understand ourselves, the more we allow the natural ebb and flow that enriches our journey.

My Beliefs
I am able to see and hear what is unseen through my connection to Spirit. This has been developed over time.
I believe that self awareness is not self criticism, and that finding a love for yourself is kind of the answer to everything. We can learn this.
I believe that our potential to love is vast and strong, and needs to be connected to our journey to empower ourselves and hold strong boundaries. We can have both. We can connect without giving our energy away.
I believe that our patterns of pleasing and civilized behavior have shamed us into shutting down our natural wildness, and most authentic vital energy. We can reclaim this.
To untame yourself is to become unbroken.
I believe the space between the cells holds a vastness and spaciousness that we crave. This is my most delicious place to be.
I believe that we are here to become fully human. That embodiment is crucial in this journey, and that we cannot hold our humanness as separate from our spiritual selves.
I believe in connecting to and teaching higher spiritual truths that do not bypass both the inner and outer work that needs to be done here on earth.
I am interested in how patriarchy, racism, and ableism play a part in our healing journey, and the harm that the construct of whiteness has had on all bodies. I attempt to bring that through in my teachings, both directly and indirectly.
I strive to be intersectional and inclusive, knowing that, as a whitebodied, cis-hetero-female, I will always be learning.
Woven through and in between is my relational journey as a mother, and the learnings I have received from my human-ing.
My connection to Spirit is personal and intimate and touches everything I do. It’s not separate from my life as a human, but the very essence of what I believe humans are.
“I’ve gone from pious to irreverent
and landed somewhere in between.
I swear. I laugh as much as possible.
I am very, very human. And I love it.”
